Job Description

Audio Typist - £8.69 per hour + Permanent + Part Time - 25 hrs per week

Location - Huddersfield centre

You will have a great opportunity to join the team of the best professionals within Estate Agency sector. You will report direct to Practice Manager and provide a comprehensive secretarial support to the Surveyors, in particular the completion of valuation reports and surveys

Requirements of the Audio Typist:
- Accurate audio typist
- Ability to work on own initiative with limited supervision ·
- Excellent planning and organisational skills ·
- Must be fully computer literate, able to operate office systems to a high level of competency ·
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel ·
- Ability to work as a member of a team ·
- Sound numerical skills ·
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and or verbal instructions ·
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work at all levels and provide excellent standards of customer service · ·
- Ability to work to tight deadline

The role of Audio Typist:
- Produces files with all information required for carrying out surveys (mainly for the banks for business loans and private clients) ·
- Types letters, valuation reports and invoices from information recorded by chartered surveyors onto audio tapes, using standard format ·
- In surveyor's absence receives phone calls, taking messages where appropriate. ·
- Uses internet sites in order to produce reports on property to be included in files which are: ·
· Land Registry ·
· Property Details from Valuation Office ·
· Flood Risk ·
· Telecom Masts ·
· Council Tax Banding ·
- Books appointments on behalf of chartered surveyors from instructions received via email, faxes and phone calls ·
- Writes standard letters to clients (mainly mortgage lenders) from dictated information with business terms and a request for payment ·
- Writes to vendor with questionnaire to complete for survey ·
- Works to deadlines ·
- Plans partners' diaries. ·
- Uses electronic databases (i.e. Quest, Valuation Exchange, Val Net) for residential surveys. Checks the system throughout the day for instructions outstanding and organises accordingly.
