Business Development Manager
Salary - £30,000 - £35,000 Basic - OTE - £10,000 - £15,000 P/A
Hours - Monday to Thursday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; Friday 7:30am - 1:00pm
Location - Huddersfield

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to drive sales growth and explore new market opportunities. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a pivotal role in engaging existing sectors, forging new market connections, and contributing to our client's strategic growth plan. This is a unique chance to join a close-knit team and make a substantial impact on the company's expansion.

Key Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities nationally, with a focus on specific sectors/target markets.
  • Build and nurture client relationships, engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Create and execute strategic growth plans in collaboration with the CEO and Sales Manager.
  • Use LinkedIn and other tools to expand outreach; Salesforce CRM experience is advantageous.
  • Manage KPIs centred around phone calls, site visits, and quotes.
  • Embrace remote working with occasional travel to different regions, including Scotland, Wales, Northern and Southern Ireland and London boroughs.

Key requirements of the Business Development Manager:

  • Proven track record in business development, preferably within manufacturing or engineering.
  • Fantastic written and oral communication skills.
  • Data driven.
  • Confident, strategic thinker with excellent relationship-building skills.
  • LinkedIn proficiency or willingness to learn.
  • Strong analytic and numerical skills.
  • Salesforce CRM experience is advantageous.
  • Full UK driving license required.
  • Qualifications at Degree level or greater.
