Job Title: Turning centre programmer, setter operator FANUC controls
The production of drilling equipment and other components using C.N.C Turning machines
To produce drilling equipment and other components as specified in drawings and other specifications using CNC turning centres
Setting Turning centres and producing components which meet specifications.
Checking that finished components have been produced according to the drawings and specifications and are within required tolerance levels, using gauges and other basic measuring tools.
Ensuring that the machinery is operated safely in-line with health and safety guidelines.
Manufacture of component parts as instructed by the production Manager and other skilled staff. Providing information about component production as requested by the production Manager
Responsible for checking that components produced are of high quality as specified in drawings and in other written specifications and are within required tolerance levels using basic measuring tools including gauges, veneer rulers, angle measuring etc.
Ensuring that whilst carrying out production work health and safety guidelines are followed and that appropriate PPE is worn.
Previous experience of working in a mechanical engineering manufacturing factory preferred but not essential. Basic understanding of mechanical processes and in measuring using basic mechanical measuring tools.
Hours: Monday - Friday 7.30am - 4.00pm
