CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator (Turner) - Fanuc

Salary: £15 - £19 p/h DOE

Hours: 39 Hours per Week, 7am - 5.30pm (Monday - Thursday) - Friday offered as optional overtime

Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire

Duration: Permanent

Our client have the perfect opportunity for an experienced CNC Programmer to join their leading company, after their successes over the last few months and new business being secured. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established mechanical manufacturing sub-contract firm. From one off's to small batch, there is a variety of work to get involved in.

Day to day duties include:

  • Meeting the needs of customers, ensuring that each product or service is delivered cost-effectively, speedily and to the highest quality
  • Programming on Fanuc, setting and operating a CNC in an efficient manner
  • Ensuring a high level of efficiency is achieved
  • Report any defects in any tooling
  • Plan detailed operation sequences taking into consideration raw material provided
  • Report any material shortage to line manager
  • Fulfilling own responsibilities within the current Health and Safety and Employment Law
  • Aiding other members of staff in fulfilling their duties and responsibilities
  • Giving your best in terms of quality for work
  • Resolving any concerns or issues with your immediate colleagues, foreman and manager
  • Liaising with your supervisor to resolve any persistent or unresolved problems encountered
  • Assisting colleagues in paperwork and cleaning duties

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar position
  • A positive and enthusiastic with a 'can-do' attitude
  • Demonstrated history of reliability
  • Willingness to learn and embrace new ideas
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to read and understand drawings
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety
