Location: Huddersfield
Hours: Monday - Thursday 07:45 - 16:15, Friday 07:45 - 12:45 ; 37 hours a week.
Salary: £12.36 - £13.00 p/h (Competitive, dependent on experience)

Are you an organised and detail-oriented professional with experience in despatch, import, and export operations? We are recruiting for a Despatch Coordinator to join a dynamic team within a well-established manufacturing business.

As a Despatch Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth movement of goods in and out of the business. This is a varied role that combines shop floor and office-based duties, requiring excellent coordination skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Booking carriers and arranging transport for outgoing goods
• Creating purchase orders and managing shipping documentation
• Coordinating the import and export of goods, ensuring compliance with regulations
• Preparing commercial invoices, handling commodity codes, and applying Incoterms
• Communicating with freight forwarders and suppliers to manage logistics efficiently

Key Requirements:

• Experience in import and export operations is essential
• Strong knowledge of commercial invoices, commodity codes, and Incoterms
• Previous experience in a despatch, logistics, or supply chain role
• Organised, proactive, and able to work across shop floor and office environments
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with different teams
