Job Description

Driver / General Operative

Location: West Yorkshire (occasional travel to Greater Manchester)
Pay Rate: £12.50 per hour
Hours: Monday - Thursday 7:45am - 4:15pm, Friday 7:45am - 12:45pm (37 hours per week)
Contract: Temp-to-Perm

Stafflex are proudly working with a long-term client, seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver / General Operative to join an established industrial business. This role involves both driving and supporting the team on the shop floor when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transporting machinery and equipment using a flatbed van
  • Ensuring goods are securely strapped for safe transport
  • Assisting with general duties on the shop floor when not driving
  • Handling deliveries primarily across West Yorkshire, with occasional trips to Rochdale

Requirements:

  • Aged 25+ (for insurance purposes)
  • Full clean UK driving licence (no points or bans in the last three years)
  • Experience in industrial driving or a similar role preferred
  • Physically fit and able to work safely in an industrial environment
  • FLT licence is an advantage but not essential
