Are you a highly organised and detail-oriented professional looking to take on a new role in finance and administration in 2025? We're seeking a Finance & Administration Clerk to join a thriving and forward-thinking business in Huddersfield.

As a Finance & Administration Officer, you'll be at the heart of ensuring smooth financial and administrative operations. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting the business, maintaining records, managing facilities, and assisting with various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining accurate financial records, including receipts, invoices, payments and journals.
  • Facilitate opening of new ledger accounts to agreed process with approved credit limits and payment terms.
  • Carry out agreed debtors chase process, reporting back as required.
  • Performing daily bank reconciliations and cash flow forecasting.
  • Processing supplier payments and handling account queries.
  • Managing contract renewals and monthly reporting.
  • Overseeing facilities management such as vehicle maintenance and management of supplier contracts.
  • Support month end processes and procedures.
  • Cover of order administration, processing orders.
  • Providing comprehensive administrative support, including management of office supplies, meeting and greeting visitors and maintaining a tidy work environment.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in a finance or administration role.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Proficiency in financial software.
  • Proactive approach to work.
  • A willingness to grow with the role and the business.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team. You should be comfortable handling a variety of administrative tasks and interacting with suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
