Job Overview

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated mechanical engineeri to join our clients growing business. The successful applicant will maintain high levels of accuracy in day-to-day operations including but not limited to warehouse management, distribution, repair and refurbishment, CNC machining and inspection.

The candidate must be interested and willing to learn all aspects of the business, be effective at working as part of a team and adapt to taking on new responsibilities as and when required. The candidate will be provided with the necessary training to enable them to carry out responsibilities safety and efficiently.

Company Overview
Our client based in Huddersfield are a growing power transmissions company,their customers are from a wide range of industrial markets in the design, selection, manufacture, supply, service and repair of power transmission products.


Salary: £20,000 - £25 000 Depending on experience
Benefits: Company bonus scheme
Terms: Full Time Permanent
Location: Huddersfield and some possible overseas travel.

Roles and Responsibilities

-Perform assembly and dismantling of power transmission products.

-Service and repair of product including, when necessary, writing and submitting inspection reports to customers.

-To manage and handle raw material and finished product and undertake quality control, inspection, packing and dispatching roles.

-Warehouse control/Stock management.

-General maintenance and upkeep of the warehouse and machine shop areas.

-Operate and programme the CNC Mill and Lathe with the intention of producing components.

-Upkeep and maintenance of records and procedures in accordance with ISO requirements.

-Key role in Health & Safety and continuous improvement across the business.

Requirements & Skills

-Minimum ONC/C&G or equivalent in engineering discipline.
-Diploma or apprenticeship in engineering based subject preferable.
-2+ years work experience in an engineering role.
-Knowledge of power transmissions an advantage.
-Excellent problem solving skills.
-Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
-IOSH/NEBOSH certificate desirable.
-Good written and verbal communication skills.
-Ability to work as part of a team.
