Stafflex are looking for the right person to join our clients small but rapidly expanding business, specialising in ALL aspects of HGV Trailer repair and maintenance and ultimately providing TOTAL TRAILER SUPPORT. Unrivalled in our field, their close knit team of engineers produce only the highest standards of repair without compromise.
They ensure their customers who include national rental fleets and renowned UK and European trailer manufacturers receive the best possible service and quality at all times.
Their knowledge and expertise are backed up with an extensive stores facility at our new workshops where other specialist equipment includes DVSA standard roller break testing, manufacturer specific EBS diagnostic equipment and a dedicated specialist curtain manufacturer repair centre. We are also approved service agents for trailer and equipment manufacturers offering a specialist curtain repairs service.
Applicants should have 5+ years of experience and be skilled in all aspects of trailer repairs and systems including: ABS/EBS, suspension, braking & steering systems, together with various type of bodies and components.
Main role responsibilities
Maintenance and repair of all types of trailers.
Conducting routine inspections and Pre-MOT inspections as necessary.
Diagnosing trailer defects.
Comprehensive completion of all documentation including worksheets.
Client on-site repairs as necessary.
Able to work under own initiative and as a team member as required.
The right individual should be able to work on-site, unsupervised under own initiative when required and have good customer communication skills. A full (preferably clean) driving licence is essential and HGV licence would be an advantage. Candidates should be physically fit and prepared to undertake a wide variety of tasks both individually and as part of our team. There is also a regular requirement for working at heights using our specialist equipment.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
Full and rounded understanding of all aspects of Trailer Engineering is essential.
Previous trailer experience is also essential.
