Warehouse Associate

Duration: Permanent

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Cleckheaton

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8AM - 5PM, Friday 8AM - 4PM, 39 hours per week.

Job Overview:

Responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of goods in the warehouse, from receiving and inventory management to order fulfilment and shipping.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Unload materials, tools, and equipment from vendor deliveries; inspecting them to ensure they meet company quality standards.
  • Organise and relocate materials, tools, and equipment to appropriate shelves, bins, racks, or pipe bundles by a predetermined sequence, including bind location, size, type, style, and length.
  • Label material with accurate identifying information.
  • Compile customer orders from stock and package orders to customer requirements.
  • Retrieve orders for delivery and stock-to-stock transfer; load onto the appropriate delivery vehicle or transfer to the packing area using a Counterbalance / Reach forklift, overhead crane.
  • Prepare documentation for various couriers and shipping locations.
  • Comply with required safety policies, guidelines and training.
  • Keep the warehouse clean in compliance with governmental health and safety regulations and company safety policies
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned
  • Ensure the safety and health of yourself and others
  • Report workplace hazards, injuries, or illnesses immediately

Requirements:

  • Must be competent and have experience operating FLT Counterbalance / Reach trucks.
  • Valid in date licences are desirable.
  • Experience working within a workshop or inspection role
  • Physically fit - able to work on your own initiative
  • Be able to work at a fast pace and help other team members where needed
  • Basic maths and reading skills
  • Ability to learn and follow company health and safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to learn company warehouse operations and business processes
