Job Description

Warehouse / FLT Driver

Location: Huddersfield

Pay: £12.75p/h

Duration: 12 week Temporary - Permanent

Hours of work: 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm, rotating weekly. ***Training will require you to work day shifts… Mon - Thurs 7.30am - 4.30pm and Fri 7.30am - 1pm. Training usually takes 1-2 weeks.***

Stafflex are actively recruiting on behalf of our client, a modern business with over 100 years of history and experience within the manufacturing sector, serving customers all over the UK and exporting to Europe, USA and Australasia.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Receive goods at the loading/receiving area.
  • Store received goods in the appropriate locations within the warehouse.
  • Check loads for damaged or missing items upon receipt.
  • Move and rearrange stock, either by hand or with appropriate lifting equipment.
  • Load goods onto trucks for shipping.
  • To make the absolute most of limited space, warehouse operatives must find ways to organise for maximum space saving.
  • Ensuring accurate records of everything that comes in and goes out of the warehouse.
  • Ability to work using controlled documents and completion of relevant data.
  • Manual handling duties.

Essential skills needed for the role:

  • Counterbalance FLT license (valid and in-date, RTITB / ITSSAR)
  • Reach FLT license (valid and in-date, RTITB / ITSSAR)
  • Good IT Skills (Excel, Outlook and Word) for data entry and inventory.
  • Previous experience working within a production / manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will need to hold both Reach and CB FLT licenses. Manual Handling experience is advantageous but not essential as training can / will be given. Please be aware this job is not solely FLT driving and will require you work flexibly within the warehouse / production department as and when needed.
