Date: Wednesday, 22nd April 2020

Timings: 8.30am registration and breakfast, 8.45am start with 10.30am finish

Venue: BIC2/29 The Room, 3M Buckley Innovation Centre, Firth Street, Huddersfield, HD1 3BD (Click here for directions)

Cost: Free!

Topic of discussion:

Vanessa Scrimshaw of New Dawn Resources is an experienced HR Business Partner and Master Practitioner with WRAW. She will touch on the business case for having a well-being strategy and then take you through the practicalities of developing your strategy – from measuring current levels of well-being, identifying pinch-points for stress and developing ways for managers and individuals to address these. How individuals view adversity and stress can strongly affect whether they succeed or not: by building resilience, employers can enable individuals to tackle adversity, concentrate on the things that they have control over and contribute to the success and productivity of their team.

Kirsty Vickerman of prohms is an experienced Mental Health Nurse and Occupational Health Advisor. She understands the difficulties that both businesses and individuals face when dealing with mental health issues in the workplace. She will look at how businesses can work with occupational health services to provide intervention and support to an individual with a mental health condition, with the goal of developing that individual’s ability to cope at work and improving their capability and attendance at work.

In addition, Kate Booth of New Dawn Resources will be on hand to give a quick recap on employment law changes and we will provide all delegates with our employment update to take away.
