Friday, November 27, 2020

The third Stafflex Education Christmas Card Competition has been a huge success with over 750 entries submitted from schools and nurseries across Kirklees and Calderdale.

Winners:

  • Primary – Yahya (age 7) from Headfield CE Junior School
  • Secondary – John (age 15) from Thornhill Community Academy

The winning schools receive £200 art supplies and the artists receive £20 gift cards.

Runner-ups:

  • Primary – Lybah (age 10) from Fixby Junior and Infants School
  • Secondary – Katelyn (age 13) from Trinity Academy, Sowerby Bridge

The runner-up schools receive £100 art supplies and the artists receive £10 gift cards.

There was also a bonus prize for Ashbrow School due to the sheer amount of entries we’ve decided to gift them with £50 art supplies vouchers – the category for most entries from a single school will be added as a prize for next year’s competition!

Daniel Taylor Primary Stars Manager at Huddersfield Town Foundation and guest judge of the competition commented: “Yahya’s was a really simple and elegant design. The message is clear and I’d be delighted to receive that card from a family member!”

“John’s was a real neat, impressive design. And it still gives me hopes of having a white Christmas!”

The winning cards will be used as the official Stafflex Christmas card for 2020 and will be sent to thousands of clients and candidates over the festive period.
