Huddersfield comes together for spectacular Food and Drink Festival

Thursday, August 9, 2018

The Huddersfield Food and Drink Festival took place over the weekend attracting crowds of over 120,000 people and featuring over 100 local stalls with entertainment including live music, face painting as well as a host of other activities.

This year, Stafflex sponsored the Artisan Zone, a dedicated area of market stalls for small businesses in Huddersfield. The area offers discounted setup costs for businesses enabling them to sell unique, locally produced food and drink to the public which would have otherwise been out of their budget.

Organisers Poppy Stahelin and Sam Watt, of Huddersfield Live, said they were delighted by how the event had gone.

Sam said: “Over the last two years we’ve remodelled and re-branded the festival and it’s worked really well.”

Poppy said: “We think we might beat last year’s attendance record and traders have been loving it too.”

Stafflex are one of the founding partners of Huddersfield Live, the not for profits event company behind the Food and Drink Festival as well as other exciting events around the town.
