Stafflex CPD 2017

Stafflex are committed to supporting, developing and enhancing careers. We understand that when working on supply it is not always easy to gain access to Continued Professional Development training.

As a result, we have been developing a new CPD programme for all our teachers and support workers.The courses have been designed and written especially for Stafflex. With teachers and governors as members of the Stafflex team, we have been able to identify key areas of interest in terms of what our schools want from their supply staff, and what some teachers and support workers would like in order to further their own professional development.

We would like to invite you to take part in our free pilot run of these courses. There are five modules:

Safeguarding

Prevent (Including British Values, Radicalisation)

Behaviour Management

Progress and Assessment (Including Progress 8, government and curriculum changes)

Mindfulness (Looking after you!)

During our pilot run, these courses will be free of charge.

They are also available to any teacher who is not registered with us, but we will ask for a charity donation in those cases. Schools are also able to book places for any staff that may require any refresher training. So do feel free to spread the word!

What we ask in return, is that once you sign up to a course you commit to attend, and that you provide us with constructive feedback for any session you attend, both positive and critical, so we can further develop the course for subsequent training. We will be marketing these courses as being designed by our teachers, for our teachers.

All of the courses will be running as twilight sessions, on Saturdays, or in school holidays so that they do not interfere with any paid work. It also means that you can mix up the times you attend. For example, you can attend some courses on an evening, some on a Saturday and some during a school holiday.
