Holmfirth-based community interest company and eco-educators fairandfunky are teaming up with Huddersfield recruitment agency Stafflex to bring sustainable initiatives to schools across Kirklees and Calderdale.
The aim of the partnership is to promote sustainable lifestyles both in terms of the environment, food provenance, saving energy and climate action, in a fun and engaging way. In the past, the two businesses have formed a partnership to bring a smoothie bike to schools across the regions, so this newly developed project is the next step to bring sustainability to the forefront.
“Stafflex are a fantastic example of a local employer that is both responsible and active within their community and we’re absolutely delighted to have strengthened our relationship and develop our work with them through to 2024” said Helen Robinson from fairandfunky CIC, “As a community interest company, we are committed to empowering and educating young people in West Yorkshire on issues including healthy living, recycling, waste and Fairtrade, and we’re delighted to be supported by Stafflex in this aim.”
Stafflex are a family business, with over 20 years’ experience in education, office, industrial and engineering recruitment. On the education side, Stafflex supply teachers, teaching assistants and education specialists to nurseries, primary and secondary schools, FE colleges and SEN environments across the Kirklees and Calderdale areas.
